And when they say “information” they mean the same type that we see, use and take for granted every day. Specifically, genes store, transmit, communicate and use finely tuned, coded content in a manner that’s exactly analogous to how information is coded, stored, transmitted, communicated and used everywhere else in the world.

When we look closely at the information stored in DNA, we recognize three important facts:

- Dr. Stephen Meyer, in his book Signature In The Cell; DNA And The Evidence For Intelligent Design, points out, “Indeed, our uniform experience affirms that specified information – whether inscribed in hieroglyphics, written in a book, encoded in a radio signal or produced in a simulation experiment – always arises from an intelligent source, from a mind and not a strictly material process.”
